Owner & President

Cesar Sanchez Jr., Founder and President of JR Engineering, brings a lifetime of hands-on expertise and visionary leadership to the company he established in 1983. A graduate of LA Trade Tech in Machine Technology, Cesar began his career as a skilled tool and die maker at VSI Corp., where he developed a deep foundation in precision engineering and manufacturing.

His passion for mechanical innovation extended beyond the surface—he is also professionally certified in scuba diving, underwater welding, rigging, and salvage. These unique skills reflect Cesar’s fearless approach to problem-solving and his willingness to explore unconventional paths to get the job done.

With over four decades of experience and an entrepreneurial spirit, Cesar has grown JR Engineering from a single-location machine shop into a multi-site operation serving industries across California. As a hands-on leader, he continues to guide the company with a focus on craftsmanship, integrity, and family legacy—laying the foundation for future generations of engineering excellence.

Vice President/General Manager

Cesar Sanchez, Vice President/General Manager at JR Engineering, is passionate about leading the team to deliver exceptional engineering solutions. With two decades of experience and a background as a Cal State Northridge Mechanical Engineering graduate specializing in Machine Design (and a third-generation engineer!), he brings a wealth of knowledge. He leads a talented team specializing in custom bearing solutions and tackling complex mechanical challenges. His focus is on building high-performing teams, fostering innovation, and developing strategic solutions that make a difference.

Julian Sanchez

Co-owner & Operations Manager

Julian Sanchez, Co-owner and Operations Manager at JR Engineering, is driven by a passion for CNC manufacturing and strategic business development. His background includes studies at multiple institutions and an internship at JPL, providing a solid foundation in CNC programming and manufacturing operations. He leads the dedicated CNC manufacturing division and collaborates closely with the bearings and distribution team. He is excited about quality, innovation, and team growth, and is always looking for ways to advance CNC machining and build sustainable growth strategies for JR Engineering.

Sales Manager
